Thousands of devout Hindus visited Bangalore city's Vishnu temples on the 2nd of January, 2023 on the vaikunta ekadasi day to get blessed by the lord and to start the new year on a positive note. A large number of people stood before the lord to bless them with courage and determination to face challenges in the ensuing year. For the senior citizens it is an occasion to pray to god and bless them with salvation free from birth/death recycles. On the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi, the Iskcon temple became a center of religious activities where a ritualistic marriage ceremony for Lord Sri Krishna and his consorts Rukmini was held. The Iskcon trust’s newly inaugurated Rajadhi Raja Govinda Temple on Kanakapura Road also drew devotees in hundreds. Several other temples, including Venkateshwara Temple in Yelahanka, Devagiri Varaprada Gudi in Banashankari, and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam attracted devotes in thousands.
Telungu speaking regions:
On the day of Vaikunta Ekadashi, devotees made a beeline to the famous Vishnu temple across Telegu speaking regions and the temples were busy rom dawn. For the darshan of Tirumala Srivari (run by TTD), it started at 12.05 midnight. Special darshan was allowed first for the VIPS, MLAs, MPs, etc. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Karnataka Governor Thahar Chand Glehat, Jammu Governor Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, Deputy CM Narayanaswamy, Ministers Peddireddy, Karumuri Nageswara Rao, Telangana Ministers Mallareddy, Gangula, Errabelli, Srinivas Goud, film and political celebrities paid a visit to Tirumala to save their political power to serve the people. .
At Annavaram Satyadeva Temple, Mukkoti Ekadashi celebrations are going on and special platform has been set up for darshan of Swami Ammavaru from the north door (dwara). Darshan time through North door has been extended from 5 AM to 5 PM. Prakara seva for Swami Ammavars on silver chariot at 11 am and village festival will be conducted on Garuda Vahana at 7 pm.. Vaikunta dwara darshan started at Rishi Konda TTD temple. The family of Ashok Gajapathi Raju, the hereditary trustee had first darshan in the north door of Vaikunthavasan in Simhachalam Devasthanam.
Vaikuntha Ekadashi was held on a grand scale at Lord Kadapa Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple. Kadapa Ontimitta Kodandarama Swamy Temple and Nandaluru Soumyanatha Swamy Temple. Grand Mukkoti Ekadashi celebrations have begun in Dwarka Tirumala .Mangalagiri Panakala Swami temple, the Khadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, Srikurmam temple of Gara Mandal of Srikakulam district.
. Special arrangements were made for darshan through Vaikunda at Kadapa Ontimitta Kodandarama Swamy Temple and Nandaluru Soumyanadha Swamy Temple Sri Kalyana Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple in Bhartarpuram village, Srungavarapukota mandal, Vizianagaram district, etc.
In all these temple the Uttara dwara darshan was allowed in the early morning in some cases as early as 3 am.
