ISKCON Bangalore centers at Krishna Hill, Rajajinagar and  Vaikuntha Hill, Vasanthapura. celebrated  Vaikuntha Ekadashi on the 10 January 2025 in the month of Margashirsha (December – January) during the fortnight of the waxing moon is of special significance 

On this day, the gates of Vaikuntha (the Lord’s abode) are open to His ardent devotees. This is a major festival of South India celebrated in all the temples of Lord Vishnu. As  the Vaikuntha Dwara (a special entrance to Vaikuntha) is set up annually on this particular day in all Vishnu temples, Iskon centers in Bengaluru made special arrangements for the devotees to cross the Parama pada vasaal akin to attainting Moksha - reaching the heavenly abode of Lord Vishnu. The Iskon centers were well decked up but the rituals followed here were very simple.  The long festival event culminates on the final day - January 20  with Namazhwar Moksham. The great saint  complied the 4000 Divya Prabandam pasurams composed by many Azhwars like Thirumangai Azhwar, Periazhwar, Boothathazhwar and others  (there 12  Azhwar Tamil Saints including poetess Andal Kothai).  

ISKCON centers were well decorated on this occassion and lakhs of devotees attend the celebration with religious fervor. 

 At Srirangam Ranganathar temple, Tamil Nadu:

Begun on the 31st of December 2024, the  idol of Ranganathar during the Pagalpathu, each day he enthralled the devotees with different alankaram. Yesterday( Jan, 9th) being the end of pagal pathu, Emperuman  appeared in Mohini Alangaram adorning jewels encrusted with pearls, etc.

Vaikunta Ekadashi Swargavaasal Thirappu  was held  to-day 10th January  (first day of Raa Pathu) in the early morning after the elaborate customary rituals in the sanctum. Accompanied by music and chanting of devotional hymns and various azhwars  along with archaryas,  Emperuman  carried in a palanquin  from the Moolasthanam ( around 4.30 am) adorned with  resplendent jewels, etc such as rathna angi,  parrot  garland diamond astham, etc  after the Thirusuttru finally had emerged from the Swarga Vaasal on the north side at 5.15 am in Dhanur Lakna. Then he was taken to the 1000 pillared hall for  public worship. The lord will be kept at this place till 11. pm. Around 12 midnight the idol pf Nampeuman , accompanied by veena music will be taken back to Moolastham (garbhagriha) by 1 am.

The moment Perumal entered the Paramapada Vaasal the divine sound of  Govinda, Govinda  reverberated the halls and the devotees in large numbers were euphoric when the Heaven's gate was open. It was the path to salvation for the humans. Pagal Pathu ended yesterday and the lord appeared in Mohini Avatar, wearing a variety of resplendent jewels; Emperuman will be kept in the mandpam for certain hours in the following days  for public worship. The festival season ends with Namazhwar Moksham on the 20th of January. Till that day Ariyars will continue their customary sevai in their own alluring style before the Emperuman.
